New 03-29-06: Our spring meeting will be held on April 22nd at Jones Auditorium. The speakers will be Andrew Cote, who will be speaking on beekeeping in war torn Iraq, and Paul Rego, a wildlife biologist from the state of Connecticut will speak on the bear situation in the state. New 01-02-06: Just added the preliminary agenda for the spring 2006 bee school and the registration form. Also, the SABA conference for 2006. Directions are available on the meeting page.
New 11-03-05: The date has been set for the spring 2006 bee school. This year, it will be held on February 4th, 2006 at Jones Auditorium, CT Experimental Ag Station, New Haven, CT. We'll be adding more information as it becomes available. Click on the Meeting link above. We have also added a sheet to the Forms page to report any damage you may have incurred from Bears. Please help us collect the information we need to slowdown this growing problem.

New 11-29-04: The Connecticut Beekeepers Association will hold a 1 day Bee School on February 19th, 2005. Snow date will be Sunday, February 20th. It will be held at Jones Auditorium, CT Experimental Ag Station, New Haven, CT. More information soon.
New 11-29-04: Southern Adirondack Beekeepers Association (SABA) spring seminar will be held Saturday March 12, 9 A.M.-4:30 P.M. More information and registration form are available here.

New 12-10-03: The Southern Adirondack Beekeepers Association will be holding another one day seminar on February 28th, 2004. Featured speakers will include Nicholas Calderone, Wyatt Mangum and Thomas Seeley. More information and registration form available here.
New 11-23-03: Connecticut Beekeepers Association in cooperation with Dr. Larry Connor will present An Overview of Beekeeping. Saturday, February 7, 2004, 9 am – 4 pm at the Jones Auditorium @ Connecticut Agricultural Research Station, New Haven, CT (directions) . Storm date is Sunday, February 8, 2004. For new beekeepers, those who are thinking about becoming beekeepers, a good refresher for everyone. Registration is free to members of the Connecticut Beekeepers Association, $10 for non-members. Pre-register by calling Becky Jones, 860-677-9391, email: t.c.jones@snet.net, or mail to 55 Wolf Pit Rd., Farmington, CT 06032. The application form and a working schedule are posted here. Any questions contact B. Jones or Dr. Connor at LJConnor@aol.com . Vendors and Bee Clubs are invited to display, space permitting. The lunch break will be a pot luck lunch, so bring your favorite dish to share, drinks and paper goods will be provided.
New 08-20-03: October meeting: We are going to meet on October 26th, a Sunday, 10 am. Jim Higgins, Dr. Sting, will be our speaker. He's from Hillsboro, Ohio, His topics will be "Products of the Hive" and "Apitherapy" Pot luck lunch for noon. More information coming soon!
