Welcome to the Connecticut Beekeepers Association.
Our Purpose:
To increase public awareness of the importance of honey bees for Connecticut agricultural crops and the environment. We are here to promote and support all beekeepers and their local organizations. Our goal is to provide a common forum for the beekeepers of Connecticut to come together to share information and ideas.

Effective immediately, you will be responsible for renewing your own subscriptions to the bee magazines. You can still get the discounted rate by picking up the pre-stamped forms at the meeting or when you send in your current dues, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the magazine subscription form(s) that you want and they will be sent back to you. If you wish to join EAS, go to www.easternapiculture.org or for renewal check the journal.

Speaker: Tom Seeley, PhD, of Cornell University, speaking on “House hunting by honey bees: a study of effective decision making” and "Forest bees and Varroa mites" on a 4-year study of how the feral colonies in Cornell's Arnot Forest are surviving despite infestations with Varroa mites. We will again have a Silent Auction, so please bring something along (not necessarily bee-related) for folks to bid on. Hopefully, the queen producers will again provide us with certificates to be used for the raffle, and our local vendors will again be there for your buying pleasure. We are asking for contributions of Honey-baked goods for the morning break.
